FORCE Technology lab

Bue Christiansen is inspecting weld seam samples. He has been an NDT Inspector with FORCE Technology for six years, where he operates the Y.XPO on a daily basis. FORCE Technology is the largest inspection company in Scandinavia. They were founded more than 70 years ago - and operate worldwide from America to Asia.

A lab mounted Y.XPO 225 is being used at FORCE Technology to expose samples of pipe weld seams. The main reason for choosing the Y.XPO 225 is that it has adjustable milliamps. Bue explains: “We can expose all types of materials with various densities. We have one product for all the different types of inspection jobs. The Y.XPO is the obvious choice for a lab mount, as the adjustable milliamps makes it both versatile and efficient”.

The exposure time determines how efficient the workflow is. The Y.XPOs adjustable milliamps and high voltage makes it time efficient and the right tool for the job. Bue elaborates: “The adjustable milliamps drastically reduce the exposure time. The Y.XPO can produce 5.3 mA at 225 kV, whereas a standard tube head produces 4 mA. This means a significantly reduced exposure time - up to 20 seconds when exposing dense materials and up to 45 seconds for less dense materials”.

The Y.XPO 225 ensures a smooth and efficient workflow wherever there is a need to inspect materials of varying densities.
